Kathi currently oversees 4 acres of medicinal herb production on her certified organic farm. All the herbs and vegetables grown on the farm are used to create Herbal Revolution’s delicious, effective and versatile herbal products.
Kathi has received numerous awards over the years for her formulas from places such as the American Herbalists Guild, International Herb Symposium and New England Made Shows. In 2019, she received an award for being the Best Home-Based Business for Maine and all of New England from the Small Business Administration. Kathi has been featured in Maine Women Magazine, Boston Globe, New York Times, Mother Earth News, Bangor Daily News, Penobscot Bay Pilot and HerbalGram for her work with the Fire Cider 3 and Tradition Not Trademark. Her products have been featured in Down East Magazine, New England Made Shows and the New York Post.
Kathi is the author of Herbal Revolution: 65+ Recipes for Teas, Elixirs, Tinctures, Syrups, Foods + Body Products That Heal, released December 2020.
Kathi has studied clinical herbalism with David Winston, Leslie Alexander and Leslita Williams, and has spent the last twenty-five years of her life following her passion for organic farming, herbal medicine and community wellness with great dedication. When Kathi’s not working on the farm or at headquarters, she loves hiking, swimming, playing with her cashmere goats, eating delicious food, traveling and having new experiences, laughing her ass off and spending time with her family and partner, Gus.
Amanda brings to the Herbal Revolution gardens seasons of experience in diversified vegetable production and outbursts of raucous laughter. Serious, I swear her laughter helps the plants grow. She is enjoying growing her relationship with medicinal plants along with tending to the more familiar veggie plants that we grow on the farm. Amanda also brings her keen sense of plants, the plants that are in need of attention and her hilarious stories and reenactments. She keeps us all busting a gut around here.
Isabel is a viking maiden born and raised in midcoast Maine whose diverse farming experience includes vegetable production and animal husbandry. Her interest in farming comes from a love of history, food justice, and sustainability.
Of working on the Herbal Revolution farm she says “Everything smells so good.” Isabel has quickly become a reliable and important part of the farm operations, offering up her openess to learn, great sense of humor, killer smile and her thoughtful insight.
Julie is a small pasture based organic livestock farmer and homesteader. She spends her time tending to farm animals with her partner and foraging for local dye plants.
Her passions include herbal education, sustainable small scale farming, the organic fiber shed movement, and plant based dyes.
Her herbal focus is on mental and emotional well-being.
She lives with her small flock of sheep and her sweet dog named Franklin.
Kaela is a Clinical Energetic Herbalist and, in addition to keeping us all on point as our GM, she also offers herbal consultations, custom herbal formulas, and classes centered around plants and their medicine through her private practice Plant Craft.
She has studied with Marguerite Ulmann-Bower and at the Blue Otter School of Herbal Medicine with Karyn Sanders and Sarah Holmes. Her passion is connecting people to their most vibrant and present selves.
Kaela lives with her partner Oliver, Baguette the Cat, and Toast the Puppy.
Laine is a community herbalist, aromatherapist, nature journaler, and gardener who enthusiastically supports self-empowered and self-defined wellness. Her philosophy is that wellness begins and ends with being comfortable in your own skin.
With 25 years in communications and marketing, as well as a background in web design and development, Laine helps us provide the best experience for our community of retail and wholesale customers that we can offer.
Laine has a love of kayaking, Japanese paper, esotericism, long conversations and black teas. She lives in a hundred-acre wood with her husband, Christopher. They are still searching for Piglet and Roo.
Scarlet is a fourteen year-old Rockland resident and is currently attending Watershed high school. She enjoys exploring the woods around her house, learning anything new, and playing violin. Since she was tiny Scarlet has enjoyed helping her dad grow various wild plants in their landscape. Scarlet brings to Herbal Revolution her great curiosity for learning. She kept us all on our toes with her inquisitiveness, punctuality and amazing use of large words and ability to start the most interesting conversations.
