Katheryn "Kathi" Langelier, Founder & CEO

Kathi is the CEO, founder, lead formulator, and farmer behind Herbal Revolution. She is an herbalist, organic farmer, author, and activist with over 30 years of experience. Kathi is known throughout the herbal wellness community for her authenticity, integrity, and the dedication she brings to everything she grows, makes, and stands for. In Herbal Revolution, she has cultivated a brand that stands apart for its commitment to quality and efficacy.

Rooted in Union, Maine, Herbal Revolution is an authentically integrated herbal company with a USDA Certified Organic, farm-to-bottle operation where Kathi grows and manages more than 60 specialty medicinal herbs and vegetables across 4 regenerative, no-till acres. Harvesting the plants at peak vitality with every product being made in the Herbal Revolution cGMP manufacturing facility that's two miles down the road from the farm. The seed-to-shelf integrity isn't just a marketing phrase. It's how she has built this company, one harvest at a time, for the past 16 years.

Kathi is a recognized leader in the herbal and agricultural community working with select companies on custom herbal formulation development bringing her 30 years of hands-on expertise to apple cider vinegar tonics, herbal elixirs and tinctures, and high-end facial oils.

Her formulas have been honored by the American Herbalists Guild, the International Herb Symposium, and New England Made Shows. In 2019, the Small Business Administration named her the Best Home-Based Business for Maine and all of New England and she has been included in many publications over the years including being the cover story for Maine Women Magazine.

Beyond the farm and production floor, Kathi is a dedicated educator and mentor. She leads herbal education programs on the farm and at herb conferences across the country, and offers business consulting and mentorship to emerging herbal and farm-based businesses — sharing the hard-won knowledge of 16 years building a company from the ground up.

Today, Herbal Revolution's products reach customers nationwide through distributors and partners including Fresh Thyme Market, Whole Foods,Faire, natural food stores, coops and beyond. When Cindy Crawford shared Fire Cider as part of her morning routine with her millions of followers, it sparked a wave of national attention, earning Herbal Revolution coverage in the New York Post and Daily Beast.

She is perhaps best known nationally as one of the "Fire Cider Three" herbalists who spent five years in federal court defending fire cider as a generic term belonging to the herbal commons and not a corporation. They won. It remains a significant legal victory for small herbal producers in recent history, and it is woven into the DNA of everything Herbal Revolution stands for.

Kathi studied clinical herbalism with David Winston, Leslie Alexander, and Leslita Williams, and is the author of Herbal Revolution: 65+ Recipes for Teas, Elixirs, Tinctures, Syrups, Foods + Body Products That Heal. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Boston Globe, Mother Earth News, Maine Women Magazine, HerbalGram, and the New York Post, among others.

When she's not in the fields you'll find her swimming, hiking, playing with her cashmere goats,  traveling, and spending time with her family and partner, Gus.
