Join Kathi Langelier, herbalist, farmer, and founder of Herbal Revolution, on her certified organic farm in Midcoast Maine, for a hands-on, immersive workshop all about Stinging Nettle one of the most nutrient-dense, medicinal plants around.

We’ll explore the farm to learn how Nettle grows, its many medicinal benefits, and how to safely harvest it. We will also be creating herbal preparations using nettle and other herbs, along with tasting various food preparations using nettles.

Come ready to taste, make, and connect with the plant world!

Materials Provided

  • Nettle Zine
  • Nettle Flower Essence 
  • Fresh and dried nettle
  • Ingredients like vinegar, alcohol, oil and other herbs
  • Jars, bags and bottles for finished products
  • 3 - 4 finished products

What to Bring

  • Footwear for walking around the farm and over/through a small stream
  • Gloves
  • Long Sleeve Shirt
  • Pruners, or scissors - Optional
  • Notebook and pen for taking notes.
  • A small bag or basket for taking home your creations.
  • Snack or Lunch
  • A love and curiosity for herbal medicine!

This workshop will be held in person in Union, Maine. Directions will be sent out by email prior to the class.

The minimum size for this class is 10 people. 

If the minimum is not met by Tuesday May 20th, the workshop will be canceled. Anyone signed up will be notified and refunded. 

The maximum capacity for this workshop is 18 people.
